Marc Carette
Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer
Mr. Carette joined EGA in 2024 from Rio Tinto where he was the Head of Commercial Strategy & Business Analysis, based in Singapore. He spent the last seven years at Rio Tinto in various roles with a strong focus on aluminium, including in the Strategy & Business Analysis team in Montreal, and leading the global aluminium strategy for the group.
Previously, Mr. Carette oversaw mining and industrial goods mandates at the Boston Consulting Group and led the execution of major transformation projects. Mr. Carette has extensive experience in developing new market entry strategies, implementing process improvements, and new partnership creation.
Early in his career, Mr. Carette worked as a market analyst, developing market intelligence in emerging economies, living in multiple countries across the MENA region. He also has a background in fuels marketing from his early career at Imperial Oil in Canada.
Mr. Carette holds an Honors Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in Canada.
